Drawing inspiration from the complexity of human emotion and the vastness of the universe, Marine Louvel is an artist who creates unique and enigmatic paintings. Born in 1994, Marine currently works and lives in Germany. She intuitively uses different techniques and works predominantly with oil, acrylic and watercolours, inks and pigments. Her paintings evoke the mysteries of both the natural world that surrounds us and our own complex psyches and emotions. Ranging from self-portraits to depictions of surrealist figures to abstract works, Marine Louvel’s paintings are hallucinatory voyages, mysterious and open to a plethora of interpretations by the viewer.
